Honiton had a non-league home game this weekend against Culm Vale Hornets, with whom they have been training this year.

Honiton's Jean Herniman scored first, following good passing between Geraldine Patch and Sophie George.

Culm came straight back and equalised in quick time.

With not long to go in the final seconds of the first half, Geraldine Patch once more put a strong ball straight through the centre of the pitch to Emma Adams who was waiting in front of the goalkeeper. Emma connected well to make the score 2-1 at the interval.

In the second half there were two further goals from Culm putting them ahead 3-2.

Honiton battled back to level the score with a great reverse stick goal from Becky Bond but, despite some great defensive work from Amy Phillips, Sue Stone and Sarah Self, Culm just managed to sneak one more goal to make them eventual winners. Honiton players of the match were Julie Tucker and Geraldine Patch.
