Richard Easton, 28, from Axminster, will be competing in the World Triathlon championships for Great Britain in the 25-29 age group this June in Canada.

Richard Easton, 28, from Axminster, will be competing in the World Triathlon championships for Great Britain in the 25-29 age group this June in Canada.Richard, who works for Ganesha Wholefoods in Axminster, trains by himself and recently took part in the Winchester triathlon where he finished 10th overall with a time of 1:34:27. At the beginning of May he travelled to the New Forest to compete in his first open water triathlon of the season. The swim was cut short to 900m followed by a 36km bike and 10km off road run. Richard had a great race exiting the water in eighth place. After an undulating 36km on the bike he entered transition in sixth place. Unfortunately, he lost places on the run, but finished 10th overall out of just over 300 competitors.
