After weeks of biblical style flooding it was both a surprise and a joy to be out on the course again, and thanks to the ground staff all greens were in play, writes Andy Wagner.

However, scores in Wednesday’s NQ stableford competition seem to suggest either that we were all a bit rusty or that the course was playing very long!

Sue Ritchie claimed first place in the Silver Division with 30 points.

In Bronze 1 Division, Gill Johnson also scored 30 points to take first place with Linda Northover in second on 28 points, followed by Linda Blundell in third with 27 points.

Jean Moon beat Liz Rogers into first position with 25 points after count-back was used in Bronze 2 Division, while Majson Stroud came in third with 23 points.
