This month's AVP ride, lead by Fishnet and No 10 (Jeremy and Athol Norcombe), was an early celebration of Valentine's Day. Fourteen intrepid AVP cyclists braved the winter elements, cycling the more sheltered valleys in and around the River Axe and admiring the still snow-covered surrounding hillsides. In true romantic fashion, the group wrapped up warmly and struggled through cold, wind and finally rain to reach their destination, the Axminster Inn in Axminster, where a warm and friendly welcome greeted them on arrival. Homemade Valentine's Day biscuits and heart-shaped chocolates (provided by No 10 and Bar Bunny) accompanied delicious hot drinks and, after enjoying a sociable rest, the group re-mounted and returned all the way back to Seaton. l The club has recently re-launched its website which can be viewed at www.axevalleypedallers.org.uk and thanks go to 'Nevis' the webmaster for all his help and effort in producing the site. One of its features is the 'forum' page where visitors can chat 'on line' and talk all things .
