Action from the Chard versus St Ives match.

The Easter weekend saw Chard 2nd XV secure a comfortable away win against Bridgwater 3rd XV in a Somerset Two South meeting, writes Glyn Hughes.

However, the 3rd XV game at home to Taunton became another victim of this current soggy season with a waterlogged pitch once more putting paid to hopes of action.

The main ground had been deemed unplayable on Friday and the game was switched to Crewkerne Road, but a pitch inspection on Saturday morning after heavy rain shows that large areas of this pitch were also under water.

This Saturday (April 7), Chard 1st XV have what is now a very important game at Tiverton (3pm) where they will be hoping that the much-improved recent form will once again serve them well.

On the same day the 2nd XV entertain Tor 2nd XV while the Chard 3rd XV are also at home when they take on Wincanton. Both the home games kick-off at 3pm.
