Chard RFC are both pleased and delighted to announce that Matt Ayres has re joined the club he played for as a junior, writes Glynn Hughes.

When at Chard Matt played through all the clubs mini and junior sides as well as for several of the Somerset County age group teams before leaving to join Taunton colts and going through their ranks to play 1st XV rugby for the club whilst they climbed up the leagues.

Ayres will certainly greatly strengthen the clubs options in the back division as he comes with a well proven record in the top south west divisions

Chard are continuing their recruitment drive and are actively looking to boost their ranks with players of all abilities but especially those who are keen to play at 1st XV level.

Any one interested can contact chairman John Williams on 07725 400527 or email john@streetash.co.uk or head coach Jim Wagstaff on 07989 557407.
