Honiton Under-9s scored with the final play of the contest to wrap up a match success in a closely contested Sunday morning meeting with Tiverton at Allhallows.
Honiton had the better of the early exchanges and the Hurricanes made the pressure tell, taking the lead with tries from Josh Lane and Jack Prettyjohn.
Tiverton rallied, and went in at half-time with a narrow lead, which would have been greater if not for a superb try saving tackle from Dexter van Broom, diving full length to stop a Tiverton breakaway just short of the line.
Three further tries from Josh Lane and scores from Lewis Palmer and a fine solo try from Olly Beer saw the game coming to a close all square at seven scores each.
With the clock ticking down, Josh Lane broke down the left wing, but was halted with an illegal tackle.
From the resulting penalty Dexter van Broom clinched the win, going over the line following some fine work from Olly Beer.
This was a great team performance with the whole squad contributing with some solid tackling and good defensive pressing, as well as some exciting attacking play.
