Good Evans bags brace as Honiton Under-10s topple Teignmouth

The Honiton Under-10s entertained a Teignmouth team who had dealt them a rugby lesson earlier in the season and the visitors arrived full of confidence, writes Ben Lee.

However, Honiton produced a far more assertive and dogged performance which was typified by man of the match Osian Owen with a typically abrasive showing at the breakdown.

Owen was well supported by Felix Robinson at the ruck and they combined to dislodge the ball with Toby Ware quickest to react. Quick hands saw the ball spun along the line and Joshua Giles offloaded Joe Evans who had the pace to finish out wide and score his second try of the game before the match ended 45-10. All of the team should feel very proud of a great team effort, particularly in defence as it was just a couple of bits of individual skill that prevented the score from being a lot closer. This weekend the team face Sidmouth away.
