Honiton were edged out in a close encounter.

At the final whistle the Honiton players were left reflecting on how close they had come to a rare victory over the All Whites.

The game ran score for score throughout with the laceman looking strong in attack, but again being exposed at times in defence.

Try scorers for the laceman were Josh Ledger, Jon Galling, Northern Steve and Rich McGuire, the latter marking his debut with a fine try.

A solitary conversion for Jon Carnell saw Honiton within touching distance, but it was just enough.

On Sunday the laceman entertain Exmouth at Allhallows.
