Honiton Hawks swoop to four straight wins on visit to Exeter Saracens

Honiton Hawks Under-7s returned from a visit to Exeter Saracens with a full-house of wins, four victories in all.

The nine players who made the trip were; Archie Trott, Harry Evans, Harry Haysom, Joshua Lane, Kyle Moore, Mason Peek, Taylor Prettijohn, Torin Brunskill and William Parris.

Hawks put together two teams of four with one team having a rolling substitute meaning plenty of action for all!

The undoubted star of the morning’s matches was Archie Trott who scored a staggering seventeen tries in his two matches. In game one, the Hawks won a close affair 11-10 with young Trott scoring eight tries and Taylor Prettijohn bagging a hat-trick. Game two resulted in an easier 17-10 success and this time Trott helped himself to nine tries. Prettijohn scored a further four, giving him a personal tally of seven for the morning and Torin Brunskill scored twice with Kyle Moore and William Parris, notching a try each.

The other Hawks team won 8-5 in game one with Harry Evans scoring five tries, Harry Haysom scored two and Mason Peek one.

Game two produced a thriller that saw Hawks win by the odd score in 19.

Joshua Lane (4), Evans (3) and Haysom (3), scored the Hawks tries in a 10-9 win.

This Sunday (December 13) Hawks have home matches against Exeter Chiefs.
