Honiton U15s were put to the test by Crediton this week and what a test it was, losing 17-10 after a hard-fought match writes Andy Canniford.

It was Honiton’s Richard Webber who opened the scoring after a good individual run before the visitors claimed back two tries using good hands and their pace to good effect. At half time it was 5-10 and game on. Crediton started the brighter of the two sides and, after resolute defence, broke through for a converted try. Back came Honiton through Wes Keywood for an unconverted try but, in a tight finish the home side couldn't find a last score, finishing Honiton 10-17 Crediton. Man of the Match, Cody Northcott.

●Honiton U14s beat Crediton 20-0, hitting the ground running from kickoff.

They turned up in a positive mood and, following a good warm up, scored three first half tries from Ben Morris without reply.

The game was secured by half time. Tom Holmes added a fourth try in the second half and the game was won Honiton 20-0.

From a good team performance Kye Brooks was Man of the Match for his work- rate around the park.
