A mass of mud couldn’t prevent Honiton Rhinos Under-7s from enjoying a series of games against their Exmouth counterparts.

Both teams were evenly matched and the end result wasn’t that important as all had fun in sticky playing conditions.

Harry Haysom, playing his first game as a Rhino, did well, while Jack Daulton was making a welcome return from injury.

Taylor Prettyjohn, in only his second game, created a try and produced some great tags in defence. Ellie Sparks and Jake Downs scored a record number of tries in the matches they played.

More great tagging and tries came from Eiren Enticott, George Pemberton, Sam Olliff, Reuben Lidster, Hamish Terry, Jack Hodder and Logan Symons.

The Rhinos face a home game against Bridport on Sunday and will be looking to continue the good work they have been doing in training under the coaching of Jason Hannay.
