Archant

Honiton Rhinos Under-9 player Jake Downs was left feeling 'on top of the world' last weekend, and it was all in a great cause.

The youngster wanted to do ‘his bit’ to help raise funds for the rugby club, which is still reeling from the effects of the recent fire at their Allhallows home.

Jake’s ‘challenge’ was to climb Mount Snowdon.

By his own admission, young Jake does not like walking, so it was quite a challenge he undertook, but he completed it and, what’s more, raised a magnificent sum of £291.

Jake completed the climb in three hours and, once at the summit, donned his Honiton RFC top!”
