Honiton Tigers Under-9s dished up a terrific all-round performance to win 18-6 at Bridport.

There was some superb tackling throughout by the Tigers for whom Finley Backhouse took the scoring honours, crossing the Dorset side’s try line no fewer than six times! Robert Hennessy scored five tried and the others to cross the whitewash were; Alfie Pike (2), Jake Giles (2), Henry Devin, Tyler Patch and Ewan Powers-Maguire.

Young Hennessy was declared Man of the Match for his fearless crunching tackles leading the Bridport coach to declare that Honiton were the best tacklers his team had faced this season!

He was also impressed with their sportsmanship and honesty as they were quick to let him know when one of his players scored a try he missed.

Tigers coach Josh Barrett, celebrating his birthday, was very proud of his players.
