Honiton Titans Under-10s served up a superb performance to claim victories in two meetings with Teignmouth.
The matches, played out on a greasy and muddy surface ended with the young Titans securing a 35-10 victory followed by a 25-5 success.
Oliver Olliff earned the Man of the Match accolades for his machine like tackling and also chalked a try in the first game. Birthday boy Archie Hawkins (2), Isaac Lidster, James Goodman, Cameron King and Zac Lancaster also crossed the Teignmouth whitewash to bag tries.
Lidster, who captained the side, scored a brace in the second game while Hawkins and Cameron Nicks made up the tally.
Goodman was described by coach Simon Lancaster as being solid as a rock while Oliver Gorman continues to get better every week and is turning into a well-rounded player.
Matthew Jeacock is still fresh, but doesn’t show it, while Nicks displayed some great running and was very creative with ball in hand. Jack Bevan was superb in the cover while King displayed his versatility by playing in several positions.
Harry Smith is another still finding his feet but wasn’t afraid to get stuck in and Hawkins produced some powerful running. Zac Lancaster was aggressive in taking steps forward and Lidster’s rucking was immense, as were some of his offloads.
Coach Lancaster, who was also pleased to see Joe Gray offer his support despite not playing, said: “I couldn’t have been happier with the rugby on view and was very proud of this bunch of players.”
