Matthew Jeacock had a debut to remember as Honiton Titans Under-10s took a share of the spoils with one win and one defeat in matches at Exeter Saracens on Sunday.

Jeacock, five minutes into his first game, scored a try as the Titans won 15-10 in their opening game. Archie Hawkins and Jonny Glover claimed the other scores.

Isaac Lidster and captain for the day Joseph Gray dotted down in the second game but it wasn’t enough as the hosts claimed a 25-10 success. Gray was declared player of the day for some great running and dogged defence.

Praise was heaped on everyone involved in the Honiton side. James Goodman, Glover and Lidster were their usual rock solid selves in attack and defence while Cameron King’s support play was excellent. Alfie Madge was praised for getting stuck into rucking while Tom Elliott put his body on the line. Hawkins produced some powerful runs and Ollie Olliff was superb in the tackle.

Not to be outdone were Harry Smith and Alexander Barback who are continuing to develop each week and Zac Lancaster was very much involved by getting his hands in at the breakdown. Gracie Billing’s defensive work was great but she was equally effective in attack with some arcing runs.
