Honiton U9s 7, Bridport U9s 0

The home side notched up 3 early tries 2 from Ben Spence and one from Sam Steel. Honiton defended strongly and kept the score at 3 nil at half time with some excellent tackling from the whole team. The second half saw Ben Spence add to his tally, one from Finlay Keywood and two more from Sam Steel Honiton had a good result thanks to some strong all round defending.

Honiton U9s 1, Exmouth U9s 4

Honiton’s second game against Exmouth was a harder battle with the home side struggling to break through the Exmouth defence but their determination paid off with Sam Steel getting over the line. Exmouth came back scoring two in the first half. Honiton began to tire letting Exmouth rack up another two tries

Under 8s win two out of two

The under 8s continued there fine start to the season with two victories over visiting Bridport and Exmouth on Sunday. After a good warm up the team took to the field against Bridport and ran out comfortable 8 tries to 4 winners with Joe Evans, Tim Goody and Osian Owen grabbing the tries for Honiton in what was a commanding display. After a little confusion over the staggered kick off times Honiton then faced Exmouth and once again won 8:4 with Joe, Osian and Tim adding to their earlier scores; while the lightning quick River Liesk, the powerful running Charlie Sheppard and the fleet footed Joshua Giles also grabbed tries, Brodie Drinkwater caught the eye with his relentless tagging
