After last week's heroics unfortunately it was back down to earth as the Colts visited league leaders Exmouth. The Cockles, to be fair, are a very good outfit and their eight, nine and ten in particular ran the show. With as many minutes on the board they were some 19 points up and from that point Honiton were playing catch up. Honiton rallied and every now and then put some passages of good play together but were guilty of spilling the ball all too often. With an added penalty, Honiton turned round 22-0 down. Things very much followed the same vein in the second period, add in some missed tackles and this meant the home side were able to rack up a 39 points score line. Honiton didn't give up and managed a couple of tries of their own through Mike Gould and Easton Harris.Tom Kingwell converted both to give some respectability to the score line but Honiton went down by 39-14. Truth is the better side won but Honiton can play a lot better than they did.
