One Ton fan travelled the 9,400 miles from Australia to London to be at the game.

Chris Rice can boast the proud title of being the furthest travelled fan following his mammoth journey to Twickenham.

Chris was born in London but moved to Australia in 1998 as his nephew Jeremy Rice moved to Honiton.

When he came to visit Jeremy he would take in the occasional Ton game and it was through his nephew that he learned about this season.

Chris said: “Jeremy kept me in touch about the great season and then the cup run

“A few days ago I thought 'get on a plane and go' so I bought a ticket on Wednesday, flew on Friday at got to London at 5.50am on Saturday.

“Since then, it's been an emotional carpet ride with camps in the car park. Then the game, what a game!”

Chris said they enjoyed the evening festivities with more champagne and despite waking up on Monday with a sore head, he was 'happy as whatever'.
