It is with deep sadness that Seaton Bowling Club have announced the sudden death of club President Graham Thomas.
Graham joined the club in 2013 and quickly became a well-loved member. He had played Crown Green Bowls in his native West Midlands, but soon began to enjoy Lawn Bowls, taking part in County Competitions and enjoying the friendliness of the game. Short mat bowls was also a favourite, along with being Captain of the Club Skittles team.
After previously working as vice-captain and captain, Graham became President of the Club in 2018. He was always very willing to lend a hand, lend an ear and was the calming voice of reason. He had a unique sense of humour and, despite over the last few years, not enjoying good health, he never gave up, always planning improvements to the Club and encouraging new members to join.
All members of Seaton Bowling Club will miss Graham greatly and our thoughts are with Kay and all his family at this sad time.
