To score five away from home and lose is sometimes difficult to accept.
However, it must be said that Honiton never really did enough to win the game, against a useful Clyst side.
Showing a number of changes from last week, Town's defence struggled against the pace and movement of the Clyst forwards, particularly numbers 7 and 9.
It therefore came as no surprise when Clyst took the lead on 16 minutes.
Within five minutes, however, Honiton were level when a well taken free kick from Matt Clothier-Smith beat both the wall and the keeper. Yet Clyst restored their lead a minute later - again after poor Town defending.
Charles Lane equalised for Honiton, who then took the lead when Man-of- the-Match Paul Blackmore finished smartly.
Before half time Clyst squared the game at 3-3.
The second half mirrored the first and Honiton were under constant pressure.
Clyst added two more goals to lead 5-3, before Dan England pulled one back for Honiton.
Clyst scored their sixth and final goal to lead 6-4.
With 15 minutes to go, Captain Steve Charlton added the visitors' fifth.
Honiton's young side should take heart from this match. Clyst are a good side, having lost only to table-topping Dawlish and will no doubt be among the promotion candidates
