Seaton B Over-60s Triples League team bank eight points at Okehampton

Seaton Bowling Club had a highly successful weekend of Open Days across the first weekend of May, writes Alan Nicholas.

There was a terrific response to the event with no fewer than 61 potential new bowlers attending with the majority of them signing up for the coaching course.

The men’s Over-60s Triples League A team played away against Crediton A team. Unfortunately, Seaton lost on both rinks with a total of 10 shots down.

Meanwhile, the Over-60s League B team were also in action where they went to Okehampton A where they picked up a splendid eight points from a 41 to 24 result. Seaton’s top triple was the one of Gareth Mettam, Norman Stone and Richard Whitworth.

In other club news, Seaton ladies’ Over-50s Triples League Red team travelled to Heavitree where they won 44-26.

The top Seaton triple was the one of Gill Sykes, Chris Barradell and Ruby Grigg, winning 29 shots to 10.
