Axminster Hospital Cup
Seaton Town held their own for the first 70 minutes (0-0) in their Axminster Hospital Cup clash against the experienced Budleigh Salterton.
Budleigh's Reserves play a league above Seaton and the first team play two leagues above, and found that little bit of extra quality to finally beat Dan Stapleton, 18, in goal who was outstanding, pulling off three fantastic saves.
Budleigh played five 1st team players (which they are more than entitled to do), which showed that they did not take the Seasiders lightly and, had they fielded their entire second string, Seaton manager Josh Stunell thinks his side may have got something out of the game.
