Seaton Short Mat Bowls Club completed their Christmas singles challenge competition on the Saturday before the festivities began.

Twenty-four players competed throughout the week in a round-robin competition and the top four players went through to the semi-finals.

Terry Hurley-Smith won his semi-final against Sue Smith whilst Gill Sykes beat Tony Swindells to reach the final.

Terry Hurley-Smith was victorious in what turned out to be a close encounter in the final.

The event was a huge success with good crowds of spectators and the day was finished off with a fish supper.
