When Councillor Marcus Hartnell heard local housebuilder Baker Estates was looking to donate a pair of quality park benches to a good cause, he knew immediately Seaton Cricket Club would be bowled over by the offer.
The benches have now been installed on the boundary, giving supporters the perfect view of the matches.
Graham Hutton, Development Director at Baker Estates, who organised the benches to be installed at the club, said: “We were only too happy to arrange for Seaton Cricket Club to be the beneficiary of these fantastic benches.”
Councillor Marcus Hartnell said: “They are fantastic quality benches, which I’m sure will allow locals to get a great view of the cricket and watch in comfort.”
Stephen Prichard, Chairman of Seaton Cricket Club, added: “We are very grateful to Baker Estates for this donation at a time when sports clubs are just getting back on their feet. The benches are already providing locals with a fantastic spot to watch the cricket.”
