Seaton held its first mini tennis tournament at the club on Saturday, and it was a huge success, with a turn out of 20 children under 10 years of age and a perfect summer's day. Parents joined in by being umpires on the courts, helping with the scoring, making cakes and cups of tea and providing squash for the thirsty players. Ages ranged from 6 - 10 years with four trophies to be won. Mini red was won by Harry Ockenden (7), mini orange winner Luke Tremlett (8), mini green winner Laurie Quincy (9) and yellow ball winner Georgie Eaton (9). More mini tennis tournaments will be arranged throughout the next few months. For more information contact Sally Freeman, tennis coach, (01460) 220854.
