Second home was Martin Hewlett of Clevedon AC in a time of 19:15 and Thomas Dunn was third home in a time of 20:34.

Meanwhile, another AVR member, Emma Kiernan, ran the Saturday version of the Exeter Half Marathon.

It was a slightly different two-lap course due to flood defence works that are on-going in Exeter.

Emma ran extremely well to finish 27th out of 205 runners in a personal best (PB) time of 1:27:36. Angela Kerr was 179th, 2:02:22 and Sarah Herfet finished in 193rd place in a time of 2:11:59.

Two AVRs completed the Sunday Half Marathon with Laura Kerr, 90th, 1:58:17 and Fiona Pyle, 155th, in 2:11:41.
