Seaton were left frustrated by rain in their bid to play their top-of-the-table clash at Shaldon.
The recently crowned Corinthian Cup winners stay two points adrift of Shaldon with both sides having two to play.
This Saturday Seaton host bottom of the table Feniton who simply have to win to avoid relegation and they then end their season the week after at another relegation-threatened side, Countess Wear.
Shaldon’s last two see them entertain Filleigh before a last day trip to Honiton.
Seaton skipper Ben Morgan says: “It’s going to be tight now, it’s a shame the rain hit as it did to deny us and Shaldon the chance to prove which one of us is the second best outfit in the section. I accept that the good old weather always plays a part in the cricket season, but it’s so frustrating that it struck on the day we had what was arguably our biggest league encounter of the campaign!”
He continued: “We do at least know what is needed, two big wins in the last two and hope that we bank more points in the last two than Shaldon do in their final pair of games.”
