Seaton Bowling Club opened the summer season, in the traditional way, with a drive, writes Linda Stone.
Although there was a cold wind, the hail, thunder, lightning and rain just held off.
The president Keith Miles started the proceedings by rolling up the silver jack and the two captains, Linda Stone and Malcolm Carvell took it in turns to bowl the first woods of the season.
There was a good turn out and, after a very competitive afternoon’s bowling, the winners were Barbara Harden and David Yardley. They were presented with their trophies by the President.
