Seaton departed the C Division for at least a season and went down in a similar vein to how much of their season has gone.
A month before the hopes at Seaton had been that they might take their survival bid to the final day when they were to meet rivals Ashburton to avoid the drop.
With relegation confirmed the week before it still meant something to the Seaton faithful to at least go down with a bang.
The opposite applied as they were beaten by 66 runs at home by Ashburton who batted first and closed on 200. The reply floundered on 134 with Nick Beedell the one bat to shine with a splendid 55.
Seaton will line up next May in the D Division where the one time Premier Division giants will lock horns with Feniton, Whimple, Honiton and Filleigh.
