Seaton tennis ace Hurst to represent Great Britain

Seaton Tennis Club’s Emma Hurst has been selected to represent Great Britain in the Master U BNP Paribas tournament, the world event of university tennis in Rennes, France next week, writes Belinda Bawden.

The 19-year-old Sport and Exercise Science student, and 2014-15 Trendell Sports Scholar at Bath University, is among the team of three ladies and three men to take on some of the best university students in the world from the U.S, Russia, China, Germany, France, Belgium and Ireland teams.

Barry Scollo, the Director of Tennis at Team Bath Tennis Academy said: “It is fantastic that Emma has been selected from such a strong field of players.”

Belinda Bawden, the Seaton Tennis Club press and publicity officer said: “We are all incredibly proud of what Emma has achieved in her tennis and warmly congratulate her for being called up to play in the GB team next week.”
