Seaton Tennis Club have just completed a most successful summer season in league competition, writes Belinda Bawden.

The ladies C team finished champions of Division Six in the Exeter and District League in only their second season and the mixed C team were runners-up in Division Five of the East Devon League.

Captains Teri Murphy and Martin White have encouraged new and less experienced club members to join their teams and benefit from the fun of competing against other clubs in the local leagues with great enthusiasm and success.

The ladies A team finished second in Division One of the Exeter and District League after a flurry of fixtures in September. The team was the only one to beat league champions Torquay and finished eight points above the third-placed club Victoria Park.

The ladies A and B teams have started their Winter League campaigns in Division One and Two respectively, both having been champions of their divisions for the past two years.
