Seaton Town 3, Clyst Valley 2 Seaton Town claimed a third win of the Fresha League top flight season to climb into the top half of the table.

It was another case of ‘brothers in footballing arms’ as Town beat the visitors by the odd goal in five!

Club captain Mark Hancock levelled for Town early in the second half after the Colyford Road side had trailed at the break. Some sloppy defending gifted the visitors the lead for the second time before a double from Martyn Hancock turned the game on its head to see Town to all three points.

Town boss Keith Somers said: “It was a funny old game. One in which we were, at times, masters of our own potential downfall. However there is plenty of character in the current dressing room and they showed that to keep going and bag what I felt at the end was a deserved success.”

Eight games into the Fresha Premier Division campaign and Town have 10 points with three wins and four defeats to date.

They have a great chance of bagging win number four this Saturday when they entertain current basement dwellers Heavitree United who have yet to register a single point after five straight league reversals.
