SEATON TOWN made it six wins from six Devon and Exeter League Division One games.

SEATON TOWN made it six wins from six Devon and Exeter League Division One games with a 6-0 Colyford Road defeat of Heavitree Social United on Saturday.

What made the result all the more impressive was the fact that, at the start of the game, the Exeter side sat on top of the table having suffered just the one defeat to date.

Town were superb and made light of some testing conditions to play the ball around and leave the Heavies well beaten by the end of the game. George Moore was the hero of the show with a hat-trick and the other Town goals came from a Josh French brace and one from Ritchie Durrant.

Town boss, Josh Stunnell, has been the driving force behind what is a stunning start to the season, and they now stand proudly on top of the table with a 100 per cent record so far and every other side having lost at least one game this term. Next up for Stunnell and his men is Saturday's Jail Ale, Devon Senior Cup tie at Division Four mid table outfit, Dawlish United.

In the Premier Division that Seaton aspire to be part of in 12 month's time, life continues to be tough for Feniton who went down for the eighth time in nine outings - the odd one out ended in a 6-6 draw - when beaten 2-0 at Clyst Valley. Next up for Mark Kingdom's men is Saturday's visit to Acland Park of a Thorverton side who have been beaten just once in six away games this term.

John Cooper notched a fine goal for Beer Albion who dominated the first half of their home game with Morchard Bishop, but the Mid Devon side, who were somewhat fortunate to be still in the contest at the break, took a point with a second half equaliser. The point sees the Fishermen stay fourth but they have played more games (nine) than anybody else in Division One. This coming Saturday they travel into Exeter to meet Heavitree Social United Reserves.

Axminster Town Reserves were the only Division Two side to stage a game in that section as they shared the spoils with Civil Service Reserves at Sector Lane. A Richie Emmett goal ensured the Tigers took something from the game and next up for them is Saturday's home game against an Exmouth Amateurs side who's only other away game so far this term saw them lose 8-0 at Tipton St John!

Honiton Town were one of the many who were unable to play. Richard Ayres' side went through the entire month of November without playing a game, they will hope this month will be more fruitful for them, starting with Saturday's trip to a Newtown side who will be playing only their sixth game of the campaign, one fewer than Town's total to date this soggy season.

Upottery have only been beaten twice since September - but they have only played four, a brace of 0-0 draws and a defeat to North Tawton, together with their one and only November outing, a 3-0 loss at Dawlish on November 7.

The villagers are keener than most for a break in the weather this weekend when they are scheduled to make the short trip to face a Tipton St John side they will meet again in the return game in a fortnight's time, weather permitting of course!

In Division Three, Colyton face a real test of their promotion credentials when they travel into Exeter to face a Pinhoe side who still sit top of the table, despite losing for the first time last Saturday, beaten by Chard Town.

Colyton have also lost just the once this term, and a Colyton win would see them take over at the top of the table. Keith Somers' only concern may well be his side's lack of recent action. They played just once in November and have had a lengthy wait to see if they can make it three League wins in a row after wins over Topsham Town and Crescent.

It was very much a case of two points dropped for Division Four high flyers Offwell Rangers as they were held 1-1 at home by lowly Newtown Reserves.

Offwell, surprisingly, managed to get their first game in four weeks played at home. Offwell started confidently and dominated the play without really having many shots.

The game came alive when, from nothing and against the run of play, Newtown bundled the ball in.

This woke Offwell and they laid siege at the visitors' goal and got their reward when Lewis Couch equalised.

They continued to press and though they scored a second, but the opposition linesman failed to give the goal.

Also Newtown's keeper stopped everything that was hit at him in a fantastic performance.

Manager Nick Ogden felt very aggrieved at the linesman's decision and said: "I can't fault my lads, they produced a decent effort in dreadful conditions and showed plenty of character to come back from a goal down, but I am not overly pleased with their linesman. We still did enough to win by a mile."

He saved special praise for the whole defence for a solid performance.

Next week they travel to Crediton United who are two places below them.

In Division Five Dunkeswell picked up a first point of the season with a 2-2, draw at home to Woodbury.

The Dunks are now just another point off the side sitting second bottom, Feniton Reserves. Their match against Colaton Raleigh was abandoned after 75 minutes when conditions deteriorated due to heavy rain. Colaton Raleigh were 3-0 up at the time.

On Saturday Rod Hill's side are on the road, they go to Thorverton. Feniton Reserves also take to the road and they, too, head for Mid Devon with a visit to Broadclyst.

Division Six only saw six games played in the month of November, none of them involved Awliscombe.

The villagers are the only unbeaten side in the section and this weekend they travel to meet a Cheriton Fitzpaine side who sit immediately above them in the table. Saturday's winners will end the day second in the table behind AFC Sidford.

Beer Albion Reserves actually managed to play twice in November, they won them both and on Saturday seek a third straight victory at home to a Silverton side who sit second from bottom in the table.

Axmouth United are third from bottom, they have not played since October 31 and will hope for better weather to allow them to play their scheduled game at home to University.

In Division Seven Honiton Town Reserves have only played two League games since October 17 and lost them both.

They'll be seeking to stop the rot this coming Saturday with the visit of a Priory side who, like Town, have played eight games this season and sit two places and two points worse off than mid-table Town.

In Division Nine, Seaton Town 3rds won a second successive game, and a fourth of the season to date, with a 3-1 home win over Winkleigh.

Next up for Town is Saturday's short trip to an Offwell Rangers Reserves who have already lost half of their ten games to date.
