Sidmouth Town Under-13s have an end of season cup final to look forward to after they defeated Cullompton Rangers 7-4 in the semi-final of the Exeter and District Youth League Under-13 Plate competition.

A midweek training session meant that the team were well prepared and they made a bright start putting the Mid Devon team under early pressure. Edward Kenworthy opened the scoring and the lead was swiftly doubled by a William Hellier goal. Cully halved the deficit, but the Town youngsters were soon once more two goals ahead when Reece McCabe netted. Cully fought back once more and half-time arrived with Town holding a 3-2 lead.

During the break Town boss Jamie McCabe urged his side to find a higher tempo. The request worked for Town seemed to have an extra yard in the second half and went on to dominate the contest. Kenworthy rifled home a left footer to double his tally for the game and after McCabe had also netted his second there was a powerful header from Piers Alphonse and a fierce shot from Alfie Bullmore to see Town to victory.

In the final they will meet either Exmouth or Ottery St. Mary.
