Seaton Under-16s maintained their unbeaten season in Division Two of the Exeter and District Youth League with a 5-2 win at West Exe Youth in Exeter.
Seaton were not at their best in what was a ‘messy’ confrontation on a sticky surface. Joe Urquhart led the scoring honours with a hat-trick and there were single strikes from Ollie Binnion and Tony Pinder.
In what became a physical encounter the home team ended the game with just nine players after the referee was forced to issue a number of yellow cards – and two reds!
Jacob Rowe won the Man of the Match award for his tireless shift working through the middle of the pitch. He came in for plenty of ‘stick’, but continued to play and he fully merited the star player honour.
On Saturday (January 31), Seaton travel to Crediton.
