Seed, Watson and Wight land three-ball better ball win at Lyme Regis

In the Lyme Regis men’s three-ball better ball competition juniors George Seed, Matt Watson and Stuart Wight showed a clean pair of heels to their elders, winning with 79 points, writes Richard Jackman.

The runners-up were the youthful Jon Ebdon and more mature Roger Seed and Adrian Morgan who carded a total of 77 points.

There was a vintage performance from Brian Rees, Neal Cullen and Roger Turner, returning a score of 74 points to take third spot.

The ladies turned out for their turkey trot competition and the runaway winner of Division One with the best score of the day was Di Smith with 35 points. Ladies captain Caroline Baker came second with 32 from Rosie Jackman, 31. Division Two was won by the ever-improving Kim Beauchamp 33 points from Mary Minter, 31 and Felicity Horton 30.
