Archant

Snow on the course prevented the usual Tuesday Mixed competition this week, but the organisers came up with an alternative – an indoor putting competition, writes Ann Desmoulins.

Fourteen players, drawn in pairs, took part in what was certainly an entertaining challenge.

What’s more, we all realised how difficult it is to putt in a straight line on a multi-coloured, patterned carpet!

Nevertheless, there is always someone who shows some skill (or perhaps luck in this case!) and the winning pair were Sheila Palmer and Paul Ritchie.

Everyone stayed for lunch and enjoyed the social side of the Tuesday Mixed experience. Here’s hoping that the weather improves soon to allow normal service to resume on the fairways and green!
