Honiton ladies enjoyed a stableford competition, playing in teams of three, with the best two scores to count, writes Liz Rogers.

It was a shotgun 14-hole competition which meant all teams started off at the same time but from different tees.

This ensured we were all in time for the very enjoyable Children in Need lunch.

Our new caterer did us proud and there were many happy faces and clean plates!

Elizabeth Ward did some lovely table decorations and Ann Davies once again provided very pretty place cards.

In all around £150 was raised for Children in Need.

As for the golf results, the three top teams all came in with 56 stableford points.

After countback the winning team was Sue Ritchie, Di Wall and Penny Blackburn.

In second place was the team of Diana Gee, Olive Pope and Catherine Doherty.

Third place was taken by Shelia Palmer, Brenda Hyde and Sharon Dacre.
