Honiton Troopers 8, City Raiders 1 Honiton Town Under-9 Troopers powered to success with some excellent goals.
It was not until the seventh attempt on the visiting goal that Troopers took the lead! Goals from Peter Osbourne, Louie Stevens and Lewis Clyburn saw Troopers into a 4-0 interval lead.
The players were shuffled into new positions after the break but, despite the visitors scoring first in the half, the one-sided nature of the contest continued.
Louie Stevens went on to complete a hat-trick and both Peter Osbourne and Lewis Clyburn scored a second. Before Bailey Williams completed the scoring.
Jess Spence, who gives everything for the side in each game, was named as Player of the Day.
Coach Dave Haysom said: “I am proud of every player as they all worked hard for the team and some of the passing and movement was brilliant. The tackling and working hard for the team is improving with every game.”
