Fifteen Honiton Stingrays attended the Christmas Cracker gala, hosted by Sidmouth Swimming Club, last Saturday, writes Margaret Bargmann

They came away with 30 PBs. For coach, Ralph Watson, Christmas came early when Carys Lilley swam the race of her life in the 100m breastroke event and gained a County Qualifying time. Ralph was thrilled. He was so proud of all the swimmers as they swam and competed with such enthusiasm.Tabitha Vaughan did so well in all of her events that she made it into the prestigious ‘Skins’ event at the end of the evening.

Swimmers representing the club were: Tiegan Chipping, Esme Gregorious, Daniel Hart, George Tomkins, Carys Lilley, Joseph Hearn, Isabel Lynch, Jack Gregorious, Chloe Jackson, Edward Vaughan, Janet Bargmann, Oliver Vercoe, Aimee Vaughan, Tabitha Vaughan, Ralph Lynch.

●The November, Swimmer of the Month award goes to Mia Bartlett.

Ace Awards go to: Juniors; Esme Gregorious, 10-12 yrs; Tiegan Chipping; 12- 14 yrs; Joseph Hearn, 14 and Over; Janet Bargmann.
