The men played Round 6 of their Winter League on Sunday in windy conditions, but, despite that, the scores were respectable. Winners were D Quinn/D Hales with 38 pts, ahead of S Mackie/T Part on the count back ruling from N Boles/P Christmas. Both had 36 points.

The ladies played Round four of their Winter League over 15 holes in cold but lovely sunny conditions. The winner was Sandra Walker with 24 pts.

The early rain cleared after an hour on Friday last, allowing the Seniors to complete the January Medal. Not until the final group came in was the winner known. Following surgery and a considerable lay-off last year Tony Strong (10) came back to the form, with a gross 78, nett 68, to win by two strokes from Clive Davie (19) on countback from John Pugh (17), both 70 nett.
