Seaton Bowls Club enjoyed a terrific result for the men`s four who entered and won the Jubilee Trophy at Sidmouth.
The Seaton quartet played consistent bowls through all 18 ends against a different Sidmouth team every 3 ends. The team of Glen Elliott, Norman Stone, Peter Grigg, and Terry Hurley-Smith also managed to stay ahead of the other five teams invited from local clubs.
The tournament organization was first class, along with the splendid tea made and served by the wonderful ladies of the club.
On Saturday, the Seaton Club played host to Ilminster in a triples match. There was plenty of banter and laughter out on the green as Seaton came out on top, with Elaine Dumble, Glen Elliott, and skip Ron Rowley being the top rink. Tea was served by Marion and Kath after nine ends and Angie effortlessly managed the bar.
