Ready, saddle, go, summer cycling season begins

After the success of last years time trials races, four local clubs have joined together again to host and promote a series of 10 races over the summer period writes Doug Parker.
Each race is approximately 10 miles long, over a sporting course along the old A30 through Fenny bridges to Weston and back. If you are a first-timer or a seasoned cyclist and you fancy testing yourself against the clock then this year is the time to have a go.
The first event is a Come & Try race on Tuesday, May 14, at 7pm and is being hosted by CS Dynamo of Exmouth, this means that you do not need to be a member of an affiliated club.
For more details and dates, you can check out any of the four promoting clubs' sites; Sid Valley CC, CS Dynamo (Exmouth), Cranbrook CC and Exeter Wheelers CC.
And remember you do not need a fancy bike or flashy wheels to ride.
