Bank holiday Monday was the club’s official charity fund raising day. This year Seaton is raising money for the Seaton branch of the Macular Disease Society. Luckily, the weather decided to co-operate and the sun shone.

Bowlers played 16 ends of a four-rink match. The winning rink was I Manchester, L Hurley-Smith, R Whitworth and J Miles (pictured). All the proceeds from the day, including money raised by holding a craft stall and a raffle, amounted to just over £200.

The ladies played an O50s league match at Pinces Gardens in Exeter, winning convincingly by 23-7 and 19-14. Top triple was M Johnson, P Whitworth and S Rutter.

The rest of the week was a wash out with matches on Thursday against Axminster at home and an away game against Tiverton West End on Friday being rained off.
