Chard and District Swimming club hosted their third club gala at the Flamingo Pool Axminster.

Jodie Hake performed particularly well in the 50m backstroke event with a time of 34.98, which gave her a new 14 years and under club record.

Kate Phillips, Matt Hall and Jamie Lillington achieved silver speed badges for the 50m freestyle novice events - Kate with a time of 34-29, Matt 35-94 and Jamie 35-51.

Wins were also claimed by Leo Kindred, 8 yrs and under 25m backstroke, 25m breaststroke; Jessica Fowler, 8yrs and under 25m freestyle, 25m butterfly; Charlie Kendall, 9yrs 200m freestyle; Rebecca Bennett, open 200m breaststroke; Maddie Barber, 13/14yrs 200m breaststroke; Jack Fish, open 200m freestyle, 100m backstroke, 50m breaststroke, 100m individual medley; Abigail Dare, 12yrs 200m breaststroke, 100m freestyle, 50m backstroke.
