Millwey Rise Reserves were 3-2 winners when they entertained Devon Yeoman Reserves in a Macron League Division Eight game, writes Dick Sturch.
It was a great all-round performance that saw Rise to the victory, one they pulled off having been a goal down at the break.
Early in the second half with a goal by Jack Bennett. The next goal provided a special moment for 16-year-old Dan Rowe as he scored his first ever Millwey Rise goal to out Rise ahead. However, just a minute later the visitors levelled , but Matt Rockett put the points in the bag for Rise with a 25-yard thunderbolt that left the visiting keeper helpless.
The Rise Man of the Match went to teenage goal scorer Dan Rowe, who is sponsored by Thomas Westcott. Young Rowe had a fine all-round game as well netting that first goal for the club.
On Saturday (October 20) Rise Reserves travel to Topsham Town (3pm).
