Feniton Under-16s were handsome winners in the Exeter and District League Division One Match of the Day when they defeated Stoke Hill 4-1.

Stoke Hill started brightly and an unfortunate own goal saw them into a 10th minute lead.

Falling behind seemed to energise Fenny the game to the side that began the day sitting second in the table, one place above Feniton.

Parity was restored when a crisp three-man move ended with Oscar Walsh rifling the ball home in the 30th minute to leave the sides level at half-time.

Whilst the first half was a fairly even affair, the second saw Feniton take complete control.

Within minutes of the restart Fenny skipper Chris Badcott played a superb pass into the feet of Walsh who rifled the ball home.

The Feniton superiority was further confirmed with goals from Garreth Blackmore and Jacob Turner, the latter a superb 40-yard effort.

It was Turner, playing in a midfield role, who was named the Fenny Man of the Match.
