It was a busy week for Nu-Heat Flames - starting the week in third place, but ending up on top - albeit on goal difference after two fine performances in which Sasha Williams proved to be the star on both occasions.

Their first game was against Flamingos A - and a tough contest it proved to be with Flamingos edging ahead at quarter time only for Flames to squeeze 14-12 up at half way. They moved further ahead only for Flamingos to come back strongly in the last quarter to win by 32-30.

Charlie Warwick was the star of the Flamingos performance. In midweek, Flames were back in action - this time with another difficult game against Conway 'Visions. Once again, it was Sasha Williams who was the Flames' star whilst Yvonne Sparks was in good form for 'Visions. The first quarter was close at 6-5 to Flames but, in the second period, they moved 13-8 up and never looked back, finishing winners by 27-19.

Keeley's Angels slipped back into second place on goal difference despite a good win over 'Visions, who had a disappointing week. With Karen Hodgin in fine defensive form, Angels were always in control and by half way were 19-10 to the good. Although Gill Hall worked hard for Conway, they could not get into the game and ended losers by 34-20.

Mid-table sides Uplowman and Tip Top Trees Oaks met in a game that Uplowman controlled to record a convincing 34-12 win to ensure their fifth place finish. Viv Grant was the pick of the Uplowman players.

Final game saw the two relegated sides up against one another with the honours just going to Toucans. At quarter time, sidmouth were 9-5 up before ADP came back to 12-14 at half way. The third quarter was close with Toucans just edging out to 19-16 before winning by 24-19.

Becky Totten was the ADP star whilst Vicky Tarr was the pick for Toucans.
