The ladies are the success story

Another mixed week for the league teams. The Championship side secured only two points at West Moors on probably the worst green played on so far - not that that is an excuse.

Another mixed week for the league teams.

The Championship side secured only two points at West Moors on probably the worst green played on so far - not that that is an excuse.

The team need to secure at least six points from their last two games to be absolutely sure of staying up.

The 'A' team came good with another eight points at Portland Vic, which will start to pull them away from the bottom of the table.

No such luck for the 'B' team, who do seem destined for the foot of the table, unless they can turn things around in the latter stages. There is time!

The ladies continue to do well, with a convincing eight points away to Alexandra Park and all six points on offer away at Greenhill in the Edna Paisley League.

The ladies are definitely the success story this season in the league.

On the friendly front, Lyme Men went down to local rivals Bridport by a single shot. A fair sprinkling of championship side bowlers evident in both sides, probably testing the water for their clash this Monday in the league.
